Four years ago I launched "Session Error: The Rise & Risk of Electric Skateboarding", a short documentary film that details the emerging popularity of high performance, electric skateboarding and the misconceptions about e-boarding risk and safety. Being an active participant in one of the hardest things I’ve had to witness has helped me face a lot of the self-imposed guilt and regret over the entire experience which was seeing my friend - software engineer Robbie Small suffer a traumatic brain injury while riding an electric skateboard. Millions of impressions later, "Session Error" has increased safety protocols and lowered the risk ladder for electric skateboarding crews all over the world. The film documents the thrill of ESK8, the tight knit communities that have formed through the hobby while also highlighting what happens when you miss one step in your routine.
